One of the winners of the CEB Award for Excellence in Legal Research & Writing

As part of the University of California, CEB recognizes and honors excellence in student legal writing and research. CEB's Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing rewards the best brief(s) produced by a first-year law student at participating University of California law schools. CEB offers this award annually at Hastings School of Law, Berkeley School of Law and Davis School of Law. The winners receive a monetary award and framed certificate.

Our panelists who evaluate the briefs are professors at the school or school alumni, often Justices, Judges, Partners in law firms and other renowned legal minds in California. Recent panelists include Justice James Lambden, Judge Brad Seligman, Judge Holly Fujie, and Niki Moore, CEO of PracticePro. CEB is proud to award achievements in student writing and research, as excellent writing is the hallmark of an excellent attorney and is critical to success when practicing law.
