Updated March 2026: The San Francisco Bench Appoints New Commissioner Mujdah Rahim to Serve in the Unified Family Court: Commissioner Rahim served as a Child Support Attorney for the Alameda County Department of Child Support Service since 2021 and has 15 years of legal expertise in the areas of family law, child support, domestic abuse and sexual assault, and complex financial litigation related to dissolution matters.A graduate of the University of California, Davis, with a bachelor’s in international relations, Rahim earned her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 2010. The following year, she joined the Family Violence Law Center in Oakland where she represented survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. In 2014, she served as Of Counsel with All for the Family Legal Clinic, Inc. in Castro Valley before opening her own law office specializing in complex family law matters, including child custody, spousal support, and property division.
