Tanya de la Fuente launched The Law Offices of Tanya de la Fuente in 2023 after over 20 years of practice specializing in all aspects of intellectual property and litigation in big law, in-house, and academic environments. She is a multidimensional leader who serves as outside general counsel to a variety of smaller enterprises. Ms. de la Fuente additionally offers ad hoc in house counsel services with an emphasis on intellectual property strategy, dispute prevention and resolution, and litigation management. Before founding her own firm, Ms. de la Fuente held in-house positions at Meta, Apple, and SanDisk. She began her legal career at Cooley and served as a law clerk to the Honorable James Ware (Ret.), United States District Judge for the Northern District of California. Ms. de la Fuente graduated, summa cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received a full academic scholarship and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, she worked as an Analytical Chemist at Alza Corporation. Ms. de la Fuente has a passion for teaching, writing, and mentoring. She proudly taught an advanced legal writing course at Stanford Law School for a number of years and frequently serves as a faculty member for Stanford’s Trial Advocacy Workshop.
