Susan M. Swan

Swan Employment Law owner and trial attorney Susan Swan represents employees in discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters, including sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, and whistleblowers. She is a tenacious and agile advocate for employees who have been treated unfairly in the workplace. Super Lawyers recognizes Ms. Swan as one of San Diego’s Top 25 Women Attorneys, and as one of San Diego’s Top 50 attorneys. Ms. Swan earned a BA in Sociology, with a Concentration in Analysis and Research, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 1998. In 2005, she received her J.D. from the University of California Law, San Francisco. Ms. Swan has conducted 20 jury trials as first and only chair. Ms. Swan has served as a Deputy District Attorney in Ventura County; Labor Litigation Associate representing grocery store employees and teachers; Voter Protection attorney for Obama for America; law clerk for United Auto Workers; and AIDS Legal Services intern for the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. Ms. Swan has presented on employment law to legal secretaries, law students, and fellow attorneys. She competed on Jeopardy! in 2021.
