Anna Liu is a partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. in San Francisco, CA and focuses her practice on real estate and landlord-tenant litigation. She has significant experience representing clients in a variety of matters, including commercial and residential landlord-tenant actions. Mr. Liu has tried cases, handled appeals, mediated and arbitrated disputes, and negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of her clients. Ms. Liu graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2011 and has been practicing real property law since she was licensed in California in 2011. She represents clients in all aspects of landlord-tenant and real property law, including rent control issues, lease enforcement, partitions, buyer-seller disputes, wrongful eviction, the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, and the San Francisco Residential Rent Stabilization and Arbitration Ordinance. "Ms. Liu is active in the legal community and serves on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section. She is the former co-chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Solo and Small Firm Executive Committee. Ms. Liu has been a speaker numerous times for the California State Bar, California Lawyers Association, Bar Association of San Francisco, and Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. She made an appearance on Legal Talk Network to discuss California’s varied short-term rental regulations and presented as a speaker for CEB. Ms. Liu has published articles for the California Lawyers Association, the San Francisco Daily Journal, and the California State Bar Real Property Journal. Ms. Liu was awarded the Outstanding Barrister Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2020 and has been named to the “Rising Stars” list published by Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2017."
