Samuel D. Berns

Sam Berns graduated from UC College of the Law (formerly UC Hastings) in 2010, with a concentration in criminal law, and earning awards for excellence in moot court and mock trial while also interning for three public defender's offices. Upon graduating, he moved to Auburn to accept a job with the Law Offices of Mark A. Berg, the alternate public defender in Placer County, where he worked cases ranging from petty theft to homicide and everything in between. Mr. Berns went into private practice primarily as a criminal defense attorney in Placer County in 2016. His practice is now based in Rocklin, where he lives with his wife and two kids and plays lead guitar for the band voted Rocklin's best.
