Denise Olrich is business attorney with over 40 years experience working with all types of businesses. Her practice focuses on representation of established businesses and entrepreneurs. Ms. Olrich handles all aspects of business formation, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships. She advises clients regarding mergers, acquisitions, structuring of business entities, e-commerce issues, website terms of use, and privacy policies. Ms. Olrich conducts audits of businesses' compliance with privacy laws. Her services also include drafting and review of business contracts, including employment and contractor agreements, leases, business contracts, business forms, LLC operating agreements, corporate shareholder agreements, and contracts for the purchase or sale of a business. Ms. Olrich also handles trademark registrations and regularly advises clients regarding trademark and other intellectual property matters. Ms. Olrich received her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1980 and her BA from Michigan State University in 1976. Ms. Olrich is the past chair of the Internet and Privacy Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State bar and contributed to the committee’s “Cyberspace Law and Policy: A Primer for State Policy Makers,” a guide to internet law for California legislators and policy makers. She is also a past chair of the Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee of the Business Law Section. During her service on that committee, Ms. Olrich helped draft the new limited partnership law of the State of California, enacted on January 1, 2010. She has also served on the Business Law Section Executive Committee.
