Laurence L. Hummer

Attorney

Laurence Hummer helps with purchases, sales, and leasing of real property, both commercial and residential. He works for property owners, prospective buyers, landlords, and tenants. Mr. Hummer has experience in evaluating title questions, easements, and boundaries. Mr. Hummer obtained his law degree at University of California, Los Angeles after attending Stanford University for his BA. He gained extensive litigation experience while working as an attorney for a large law firm, and thereafter was a litigation partner at a regional law firm. Mr. Hummer handled many litigations involving real property at those firms, and then at his own law firm. His practice has evolved over the years to become more transactional. Mr. Hummer is a co-author of Chapter 8, entitled “Boundary Easements and Neighboring Property Rights,” in CEB's practice guide, “California Easements and Boundaries, Law, and Litigation,” which he has helped to update every year since it was first published in 2008. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and has helped plan many MCLE seminars for the Section, including ones at which he has been a presenter.
