Matt Wakefield is a partner in Ballard Rosenberg Golper & Savitt, LLP, the law firm for employers. He is known for his pragmatic, creative advice. Mr. Wakefield frequently represents employers in collective bargaining and labor arbitrations, as well as before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and other federal and state agencies. He is admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, and North Carolina. Mr. Wakefield has offices in Charlotte, NC and Encino, CA. Mr. Wakefield has exclusively represented employers in labor and employment matters since 1994. He graduated from University of San Diego School of Law, cum laude, and is member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Wakefield was the 1993 to 1994 executive editor of the San Diego Law Review. Mr. Wakefield is a frequent speaker to employer groups on contemporary labor and employment issues.
