Lita Abella is the founder of Lita Abella Coaching, Consulting and Mediation Services, where she provides coaching and strategic consulting to individuals and organizations. As a mediator, she is dedicated to helping parties reach amicable resolutions. Her client-centered approach emphasizes empathy and neutrality to build trust and clarity in difficult conversations. Ms. Abella facilitates open dialogue to help parties achieve outcomes that are mutually beneficial. Ms. Abella holds a J.D. from Western State University College of Law. Early in her career, she served as a law clerk for prosecutorial agencies. Her experience at the State Bar of California, Office of Chief Trial Counsel, where she assisted in investigating and prosecuting attorney misconduct, provides her with unique insights into the pressures that legal professionals face. A seasoned public speaker, Ms. Abella delivers educational presentations to attorneys and legal professionals on substance use disorders, mental health, and work-life balance. Her background includes service with the Los Angeles Police Department, licensure as a private investigator, and entrepreneurship spanning 25 years. She is a professor of business law and paralegal studies and the author of “The ABELLA Model: Leading High-Stress Professionals with Trauma-Informed Practices.” Ms. Abella’s professional associations include the American Bar Association, California Lawyers Association; Los Angeles County Bar Association; Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles; and the National Speakers Association of Southern California, among others.
