Susan R. Goldfarb

Susan R. Goldfarb is special finance counsel in the Corporate Department at Proskauer Rose LLP. Her practice focuses on representing public and privately held companies, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors in leveraged finance and other financing transactions. Ms. Goldfarb represents borrower and lenders in a wide range of transactions involving multiple industries and diverse debt capital structures, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations, receivables financings, debtor-in-possession, and exit financings. She has extensive experience in structuring transactions that require bankruptcy remote special purpose entities.

Ms. Goldfarb received her masters in arts in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. Prior to joining Proskauer in 2008, she was an associate at Heller Ehrman LLP.

Ms. Goldfarb is a member of the Financial Lawyers Conference, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the LACBA. She is the author of the “Loan Financing” chapter in CEB's “Financing and Protecting California Businesses.” Ms. Goldfarb is also an update author of the chapter covering California law in the “American Bar Association's Commercial Lending Law,” (3d Edition).
