Steven I. Katz

Steven Katz is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He is the Chief Deputy of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Katz previously served as Head Deputy of the Parole Division, the Airport Branch Office, and the Writs & Appeals Division. Mr. Katz has written and lectured extensively on various subjects in criminal law, including the prosecution of vehicular homicide offenses. Since 2010, he has co-authored chapters in CEB’s “Criminal Sentencing Enhancements” book on: Firearms and Other Dangerous Weapons; Other Instruments of Injury or Death; and Kidnapping, Robbery, and Carjacking.
