Partner at Law Offices of Silvia Saucedo

Silvia Saucedo represents clients in all aspects of real estate development and land-use, including land-use planning, the entitlement and approval process, CEQA, defending and submitting appeals, permitting, and code enforcement. As part of her practice, she regularly interfaces with several administrative and regulatory agencies to move projects forward procedurally and/or to arrive at a resolution, such as local housing and transportation authorities, the County Tax Assessor, and utility providers. Ms. Saucedo has a proven track record of successfully navigating private sector, public benefit, and governmental agency clients through the difficult issues arising from the development process.

Ms. Saucedo received her undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angels and her law degree from University of Washington in Seattle. From the beginning of her legal career, she has been passionate about the intersection or the law, real-estate, and government. Her innovative and effective advice throughout every phase of the development process is based on her collection of unique and valuable experiences, perspectives, and insights gathered as an attorney, a former Los Angeles City policy leader, a former public-private-partnership leader for one of the largest college districts in the Country, a land-use advisor, and an adjunct professor.

Ms. Saucedo is the recipient of numerous awards, including being named one of Los Angeles’ Power Women by Bisnow, one of the most Influential Women in Real Estate by Real Estate Southern California; and a SuperLawyer "Southern California Rising Star" on several occasions. She is proud of her service as the youngest Police Commissioner in the history of Los Angeles and the first Latina member on the Department of Water and Power Board of Commissioners. Ms. Saucedo served on the Urban Land Institute, Los Angeles, Advisory Board for many years, and co-chaired its Building Healthy Places initiative. She taught as an adjunct professor at The University of Southern California at the Sol Price School of Public Policy. Ms. Saucedo is a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences and symposia.
