Sherry Shavit

Sherry Shavit currently serves as in-house counsel for the national private security services company, Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Her primary focus is on providing advice and counsel on employment and privacy matters.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Shavit spent over two decades defending and providing advice and counsel to employers in all areas of employment law. She represented employers of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to local businesses. Ms. Shavit managed all aspects of multi-million dollar wage and hour class and PAGA actions, as well as individual employment-related litigation. She further developed and updated employer policies; drafted and reviewed contracts; and provided advice and counsel on cutting edge employment issues. Ms. Shavit is a 1997 graduate of the USC Gould School of Law.

Ms. Shavit serves as the Vice Chair of the Government Action Team for the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) and the Legislative Affairs Chair for the Woodland Hills PIHRA District. She frequently speaks on employment-related legal topics.
