Robert Hall is a transactional attorney with extensive experience in the review, negotiation, and drafting of all manner of construction contracts and has created template form agreements to offer to clients. Drawing from his over 25 years of law firm experience in construction litigation, he offers a multifaceted perspective to identify risks and suggest solutions prior to formal contract negotiations. Since becoming a solo lawyer in 2018, Mr. Hall has created an extensive personal library containing treatises and references on all aspects of construction law.

Mr. Hall graduated from the University of California, Berkeley Walter A. Haas School of Business in 1975, receiving a BS in Business Administration. He received his J.D. from San Francisco Law School in 1979. Starting with an insurance defense law firm in San Francisco, followed in 1983 as an associate leading to partner status in 1990 with a Marin County civil litigation firm specializing in construction defect litigation, Mr. Hall handled many construction defect litigations and negotiated construction contracts related to post litigation repair projects. Through his role over many years as counsel in construction defect litigations, Mr. Hall became familiar with the standards and practices of most of the players in the construction industry, which in turn has informed him when negotiating and drafting construction contracts.

Mr. Hall has been an active member of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law for over 25 years and has attended many of its seminars. He has conducted presentations for over 15 years on construction contract and construction litigation issues to homeowner and contractor trade groups, bar associations, and the UC Berkeley extension.
