Kimberly L. Bick
Partner at Bick Law LLP
Kimberly Bick has worked for over 30 years in the area where science and law intersect, combining her engineering and science degrees with her legal training to assist companies with environmental issues in real estate and corporate transactions, litigation, and compliance counseling. She worked in "big law" for the first half of her career and in 2015, launched her own private law firm specializing in environmental law from the business perspective.
Ms. Bick has been practicing environmental law since 1990, following her graduation from Stanford Law School, with distinction. She earned her BS in Environmental Earth Sciences from Stanford University in 1985. Ms. Bick also earned her MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University in 1985. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the aerospace industry in Southern California as an environmental engineer, where she developed and implemented facility compliance programs for air, water, and hazardous waste. Ms. Bick’s experience as an engineer in the environmental field gives her a unique ability to provide clients expertise when their needs involve the complex legal and highly technical aspects of environmental law.
In December 2024, Ms. Bick, along with Heather Dadashi at Bick Law LLP, presented with CEB on Environmental Issues in Commercial Real Estate Transactions. Ms. Bick served as the Chair of the California Lawyers Association (CLA) Environmental Law Section (ELS) Executive Committee from 2022 to 2023. She was one of the co-chairs of the CLA ELS Yosemite Conference in 2019 and a member of CLA ELS the Executive Committee from 2016 to 2023. Ms. Bick is an officer on the Los Angeles County Bar Association Environmental Law Section Executive Committee. She served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Newport Bay Conservancy.
