Kevin O'Connell

Kevin O'Connell is a partner at Baker Tilly with 15 years of experience providing assurance and compliance services. He specializes in assurance and compliance services, providing clients with in-depth knowledge of technical U.S. GAAP accounting and compliance under the Uniform Guidance. Mr. O'Connell works with a broad range of industries, particularly not-for-profit, education, and healthcare. In addition, he has experience assisting clients in the consumer goods, technology, professional services, life science, gaming, and real estate industries.

Mr. O'Connell is a licensed CPA in California with a BS in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Prior to specializing in audits for not-for-profit organizations, he worked in tax, forensic accounting, and outsourced accounting.

Mr. O'Connell has presented on various topics for the California Society of CPAs, Hawaii Society of CPAs, Resource Center for Religious Institutions and LeadingAge. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the University of San Francisco. Mr. O'Connell is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA); Finance Committee of the San Francisco Arts Education Project; and is the former co-chair of Baker Tilly's Not-for-Profit Editorial Board.
