Julie Woods

Julie R. Woods is a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She has practiced as a probate attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court, the Probate Research Attorney for the Contra Costa Superior Court, a Deputy Attorney General in the Charitable Trusts Section of the California Department of Justice, and in private practice.

Ms. Woods earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She has two BA, with emphases, from the University of Southern California — one in English Literature & Language and another in Philosophical Ethics, Law & Moral Value Theory.

Ms. Woods has been speaking and writing for CEB since 2016. She has presented at many live and pre-recorded programs throughout California, and is an author and update author for CEB practice guides.
