Jina A. Nam is a sole practitioner whose practice centers on elder law, estate planning, conservatorships, probate, and real property matters. She has extensive experience handling financial elder abuse cases, including those involving wrongful property transfers and reverse mortgage fraud. By combining over three decades of litigation experience with a practical understanding of property and estate issues, Ms. Nam advocates for vulnerable elders and works to protect their assets and pursue accountability when they have been financially harmed.

Ms. Nam has been practicing law in California for over 30 years. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a graduate of Southwestern Law School. Ms. Nam started out her career in criminal law, first at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, and then as a court-appointed indigent criminal defense attorney, before moving on to build a successful civil practice focusing on advocating for individuals, families, small business owners, and seniors facing complex legal challenges. She taps into her criminal law background as well as her experience as a licensed real estate broker to help identify and protect her vulnerable elder clients against abuse and fraud, including fraudulent real estate schemes.

Ms. Nam is dedicated to community service and advocacy for vulnerable populations. She has volunteered for and participated in domestic violence speaker panels for the Public Counsel and served on various boards of nonprofit organizations including the YWCA Glendale and the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center. Ms. Nam has volunteered to assist with FEMA relief for major disaster victims, including Hurricane Katrina and the recent Pacific Palisades and Altadena fires. As a law instructor and interim director of the ABA Paralegal Studies program at Fremont College, she helped disadvantaged students transition from public assistance to rewarding careers in the legal field.
