David M. Majchrzak

David M. Majchrzak is a seasoned ethicist, civil litigator, and certified specialist by the State Bar of California in legal malpractice law; is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers; and is rated AV®-Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell. He is the general counsel of and a partner at Rosing Pott & Strohbehn. Mr. Majchrzak represents lawyers, law firms, and judges in matters involving risk management, discipline defense, and malpractice claims. He has served as an expert on legal ethics issues. His work has been recognized with the Harry B. Sondheim Professional Responsibility Award, which celebrates outstanding long-term contribution to the advancement of attorney professional responsibility standards in California.

Mr. Majchrzak has been practicing for 22 years, the majority of which has focused on the law of lawyering. In addition to his current role as general counsel, he has served as a managing shareholder and led multiple committees and teams within his firms. Mr. Majchrzak has also taught professional responsibility as an adjunct law school professor.

Mr. Majchrzak has presented and been published hundreds of times, most frequently regarding ethics issues and lawyer civility. He has been recognized with the Harry B. Sondheim Professional Responsibility Award; certified as a specialist by the State Bar of California in Legal Malpractice Law; listed by the Daily Journal as a Top Professional Responsibility Lawyer; listed in Best Lawyers in America for Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law and Legal Malpractice Law – Defendants; honored with the Service to the Legal Community Award from San Diego County Bar Association and Outstanding Service to the Community Award from Thomas Jefferson School of Law; and listed for his work in various other publications, such as the San Diego Business Journal and Super Lawyers. Mr. Majchrzak has also served in many leadership roles, including as president of the San Diego County Bar Association, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and the William L. Todd, Jr. American Inn of Court.
