Seniors can face significant legal obstacles to accessing health care, housing, and other benefits. If that wasn’t enough, seniors are also particularly vulnerable to becoming victims of financial, emotional, and physical abuse. Those who victimize seniors often use legal processes such as forced marriages and conservatorships to do so. ELIZABETH A. COMBS

Elizabeth Combs

Elizabeth A. Combs is a staff attorney with Legal Assistance for Seniors handling primarily elder abuse and guardianship cases. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended Cal State Hayward receiving her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Women’s Studies. She came to LAS as a summer intern in her second year at Golden Gate University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate. After falling in love with the staff and, most importantly, the clients, she returned as a post-bar law clerk. She worked briefly in insurance defense but returned to LAS to fulfill her dream of serving seniors of Alameda County.
