If you want to actually make money from your efforts, you have to clearly set forth what work you are being paid for, how much you are to be paid, when payment is due, and what kind of payment you will accept. This program will teach you how to ethically collect your fees from clients by determining how to charge for your services, creating effective and binding fee agreements, managing your trust account to ensure you pay yourself at the proper time, and accepting payments in methods convenient for your clients.

What are the absolute essential items and resources you need to be ready to take your first client? What if you need to get up and running with very little or no money? What are the advantages to starting in an incubator, taking contract work, or teaming up with another attorney? This program will help you create a roadmap to start up your practice professionally and ethically regardless of your budget or experience level.

Now that your practice is up and running, how do you ramp up your small solo practice to a larger, more robust, and more profitable business? The final program in our series will look at ways to make your law firm run more smoothly once you are up and running. Our speakers will offer tips on hiring employees, joining forces with other attorneys, and investing in programs and services to streamline law office management.

Attorneys are trained to spot issues and focus on problems, and often deal with people in highly emotional situations. All of this contributes to anxiety and stress. This seminar will provide you with an introduction to mindfulness practices that can help support your work life.
