RICHARD J. BENDER
RICHARD J. BENDER is a veteran Assistant U.S. Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California, headquartered in Sacramento. He is the Chief of the Drug & Violent Crime Unit and his primary responsibilities are the investigation and prosecution of organized drug trafficking and violent crime groups, major narcotics, money laundering, violent crime, and firearm cases in the district. He has prosecuted numberous federal criminal marijuana cases, including prosecutions of growers, shippers/distributors, and dispensary operators/owners. Mr. Bender received his BS from the University of Maryland and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
ALLISON MARGOLIN is a criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles and freelance writer. Throughout the last fourteen years, she has been quoted in magazines ranging from the Los Angeles Times to the New Yorker to US Weekly.
