Opening an Account with CEB
Whenever you make a purchase with CEB, whether on ceb.com or by phone, fax or mail, you are required
to have a CEB customer number. If you are a member of the State Bar of California, your bar number is
also your CEB customer number. If you are not a State Bar of California member or are making a
purchase for your firm, organization or library, please call CEB Customer Service at 1-800-232-3444
to establish a CEB customer number.
Return Policy
CEB publications are available on a risk-free 30-day basis. If for any reason you are not satisfied, simply return the product in good condition (postage paid) within 30 days of the invoice date and we'll cancel the invoice. This offer does not apply to opened Forms CDs, Audio CDs, subscription products, Program Passports and sale items. Defective CDs may be returned for replacement.
Please repack return items carefully in the original carton. We request that you return items prepaid by way of UPS or insured U.S. Mail. CEB is not responsible or liable for items lost or not received.

Automatic Update Service
Ownership of a CEB book makes you a CEB Automatic Update customer. Updates, revisions, and new editions of CEB books, Action Guides, and software will be sent to you automatically as they are released with an invoice. Full 30-day return privileges (postage paid) apply. You may cancel this service at any time.

Shipping Charges
Add $7.95 for the first item and $2.00 for each additional item. Call CEB for shipping charges to foreign countries. There is no shipping charged for OnLAW purchases.
Delivery and Returns
CEB ships products via ground service within the continental United States. Most orders arrive within 5 to 7 business days. Guaranteed overnight or second-day delivery is available for an extra charge. The order must be received by 1:00 p.m. P.T. for this service. Orders outside the continental United States, including all international orders, are charged additional shipping costs based on the weight of the package.
In the unlikely event you receive a defective or damaged tape, publication or piece of software, return it to us for replacement or credit. Please include the original invoice with all returns.

CEB Practice Libraries®, SmartLaser, and Forms CDs may be returned unopened or for replacement if defective. Acquisition of the access code constitutes final sale. No refunds are allowed after you have received an access code. Defective discs may be returned for replacement.

CEB practice books and Action Guides are updated (until a new edition is published) every 12 to 24 months to reflect the very latest developments on the topic. Updates to hardcover books are separate softcover volumes; most looseleaf texts are updated with new pages that can be interleafed with the original text.
When you purchase a CEB practice book, you receive the current update at no extra cost. If an update to a hardcover book, an Action Guide revision, or a revised edition of an annual or biennial publication is published within 90 days after you purchase a CEB publication, CEB will send you a free copy of the new update or revised annual as long as you are an Automatic Update Service Customer. If a new edition of a hardcover book is published within six months after you have purchased the previous edition, you can apply the amount you paid as a credit toward purchase of the new edition.
