1. When is the California MCLE Compliance Deadline?

   Compliance Groups	Compliance Deadline
   Group 3 N-Z	25 hours by February 1, 2014 (maximum of 12.5 hours self-study)
   Group 2 H-M	25 hours by February 1, 2015 (maximum of 12.5 hours self-study)
   Group 1 A-G	25 hours by February 1, 2016 (maximum of 12.5 hours self-study)

2. How many CLE credits do I need to fulfill MCLE requirements?
   • 25 hours
   • Members of the California Bar must fulfill at least one-half of their MCLE requirement with activities approved for "participatory" ^* MCLE credit.
   • Special Requirements within the total hours required (may be taken as participatory or self-study):
     • Legal Ethics: 4 hours (required)
     • Detection/Prevention of Substance Abuse or Mental Illness: 1 hour (required)
     • Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession: 1 hour (required)
   • ^* CEB's On Demand programs count for participatory credit.
